Day 4 Wingina to Howardsville

Went left around Swift Island and then since Billy Ray, who lives in Manteo, reported the Sycamore Island was blocked by four downed Basswood trees, so went left around Buford Island. Then right around Dog Island and passed the Rockfish River to get to Howardsville. Found a campsite under an old tree, close to the gate and the portajohns. Set camp up and clothes line to dry my paddling suit, and got my order in at the Howardsville General Store, a couple of burgers and fries, which are to die for. Joined John Murray, Gayle Owens, Kathy O'Laughton and Sharon McQueen in some libations and food at their campsite in the far corner of the field. The general store had the same great band playing all the hits of the decades past, just like in 2019.
