Tom Bowman's ThunderStorm Ferrari P4 for the Thunder Cup races
Note: The heavy ThunderStorm Brass front end is legal for this years Thunder Cup!
1) The chassis shall be a stock Thunder Storm.
Any stiffness chassis shall be legal. The chassis cannot be modified in any way. Light deburring of axle and brush barrel holes will be allowed.
2) Any gear ratio shall be legal.
3) The guide pin shall be stock.
4) The use of glue shall not be allowed.
5) Front axle and independent front rims shall be stock and un-modified, (FR64W). Front tires must be stock and be a minimum tire diameter of .
350", (FT2W).
The new WTS13- Brass Thunder Storm front end or the WTS13A - Brass Thunder Storm front rims are a legal option.
6) Rear tires shall be black silicone coated sponge tires with no minimum diameter.
Stock axles.
7) Stock weights MUST be used. Weights shall be used in their stock location. No weights shall be added. Weights shall not be modified. Wizzard made alternative weights are legal, (ie: WTS51
). Light deburring is legal.
8) Armature shall be a stock narrow gap design, and be a minimum of 6 ohms. Wizzard WS01, A3P01, SP04P, SP04PA, or SP04PAL "Hot Stock" armature may be substituted for the stock unit.
9) All electrical system parts shall be stock Thunder Storm parts.
10) Armature bushings shall be stock Thunder Storm.
11) The motor magnets shall be stock Thunder Storm and cannot be cut. Magnets shall remain in their stock position. No material may be used to restrict movement of the magnets. No additional magnets can be used.
12) Only painted lexan bodies will be allowed.
Bodies must be full fendered, cover the chassis, and be uncut except for legal openings.
