Definitions
Original- stock that can have material
removed but not added.
Stock- original parts on car, as it is
mass-produced.
Stock Replacement- any readily available part
of similar design.
Readily available- mass-produced and can be
purchased from a dealer or individual.
General rules for all classes
All Tires must touch the track.
Only one guide pin is allowed per car and
must reside in original position. They may be glued into original position.
Any screws may be used and modified.
All Tjets must be mounted using two screws.
Any controller is allowed provided is does
not increase track power beyond 18 volts DC or store power to be used when
power is removed from the track.
No modifications other than those listed are
permitted.
Stock chassis, gearing, shafts and bearing
holes may be polished.
Lightened bodies must maintain original
outside appearance.
Shimming of magnets is allowed in all
classes.
Maximum width of cars is 1 5/16" in all
classes.
All Tjets must be mounted using the original
two-screw mounting points of the chassis.
All stock hardbodies must be complete as
manufactured and must completely cover the chassis when viewed from above.
Chassis may be seen through natural openings.
Gears may be glued or soldered to the shafts.
Excessive glue or solder is not allowed.
Any cars deemed detrimental to the track
(i.e. Riding the bottom of the slot, cutting into the slot, or greasing the
track) will be removed from the track and not allowed to race.
Conductive lubes are allowed under the
brushes and where the PU shoes meet the chassis only and shall be in extremely
moderate amounts.
Additives are not allowed to aid in traction.
Traction magnets of any kind are not allowed,
except in the Super Modified class.
Gearplate modifications are not allowed
except where noted. Rail removal shall not go below the plane of the top of the
gearplate. Minimal tolerance allowed due to cutting inaccuracies.
Brush spring may be bent to allow differing
brush tensions but may not be glued or altered in any other way.
