MASCAR 7

March 17th at Mark's Matthews Raceway, Port Heywood, VA

A photo race report by Tom Bowman

Mark Smith closed the commercial raceway "Slot Chaos" back in October, shortly after hosting this year's first round of the MASCAR championship. Since then he has done a remarkable job transplanting Slot Chaos to his very large garage in remote Matthews County, Virginia. A lot of the old regulars from "the shop" were here for the initial race at Mark's new facility. Russ Anderson, was on-hand with his remarkable collection of custom decaled and hand painted NASCAR bodies, with the latest paint schemes. William Milholen returned for his second race, with his own resin body of the AFX Camaro. William is selling them for $10 under the "Bubba's Racecar Shells" label. The high turnout validated Mark's efforts to bring back the old "Slot Chaos' in the new non-commercial setting.
